Molecular Cell paper for teams Reik and Stunnenberg

27 May 2016
On May 26, 2016 a paper by the teams of Wolf Reik (Babraham Institute) and Stunnenberg (Radboud University) was publised in Molecular Cell.

The researchers identified the main mechanism responsible for removing pre-set epigenetic instructyions from the geneome. This reprogramming occurs in the development of an embryo, the cells that eventually generate sperm and egg cells, and is also of importance for the ability to produce naive stem cells for regenrative medicine purposes.
